The Durango Yard Dawgs are Troy Makela and Malachi Laskie — two local college students who mow lawns, pull weeds, clear yards, scoop pet waste, clean first-story windows and repair sprinkler systems across Durango and La Plata County. Mowing starts at $20, estimates are always free, and no job is too small.

Clean, even cuts on a schedule that suits your yard.
Weekly, biweekly or one-time mows. We mow, trim the edges and blow the clippings off your walks and driveway before we leave.
Beds, gravel, fence lines and cracks — pulled and hauled off.
Hand-pulling and trimming for flower beds, rock landscaping, walkways and fence lines. Ongoing maintenance keeps them from coming back.
Spring and fall cleanups, leaves, branches, hauling.
Raking, leaf removal, branch and debris pickup, and full seasonal resets. Great for rentals, listings, and anyone who let it get away from them.
Dog waste scooped and bagged so the yard is usable again.
One-time cleanouts or recurring visits. We scoop, bag and remove — you get the yard back without the chore.
Streak-free ground-floor glass, inside and out.
Ground-level windows, screens and sills. Residential and small commercial storefronts. We stay off ladders above the first story.
Installs, repairs, filtration and full system testing.
New sprinkler and filter installs, head replacement, leak repair and seasonal startup/blowout. Every system gets tested zone by zone before we call it done.

We started in June 2026 with a cleanup at Cascade Car Wash and have been building the business one Durango yard at a time since. We're local college students — hiring us keeps the money in town and gets you someone who cares whether you call back.
